The Windmill Winery is expanding and we are excited to introduce the ground breaking of the Inn at The Windmill Winery, a 25 room boutique hotel, and the Cotton Gin, a historic and fully restored cotton gin blossomed into a 7,000 square foot event venue.

The Windmill Winery is owned and operated by Harold & Katie Christ. Harold & Katie originally purchased the property in 2000, in order to house their expanding plant nursery. At the time it was a weather-beaten, shack-strewn farm that had seen better days. Only after many years of planning and hard work would it become the top-tier events venue that it is today. In addition to being highly sought after wedding venue, The Windmill Winery actively engages the community with a variety of events including hosted food truck nights, Paint and Pour parties, property tours, and wine tastings. One of the featured highlights of the Windmill is its signature branded Windmill Winery Wines, which is currently produced in close partnership through a custom crush contract with Odyssey Cellars in Wilcox Arizona.

This current expansion of the Windmill Winery is the third phase of the Windmill’s master plan. The first phase of the property’s transformation was anchored by the introduction of the 100-year-old barn that was moved piece-by-piece to the Windmill from Green Bay Wisconsin and painstakingly recreated. This beautiful barn venue has been the home to well over 2000 weddings.

Phase Two was the addition of the Lake House, which was built from reclaimed lumber from the Rodeo Chediski fire. Well over 1000 weddings have been held in this “Hamptons Style” venue.

Phase Three will introduce the addition of The Cotton Gin & The Inn at The Windmill Winery: a 7000 square foot event venue accompanied by a beautiful 25-room boutique hotel. It is with great pride that we reveal that the architectural firm of famous Frank Lloyd Wright protégé, Vernon Swaback, designed this entire phase.
